In 1961 Pedley Woodwork Ltd, as it was known then, moved to its present location on Shirehill Works, Saffron Walden, Essex. In 1993 to reflect the company’s international growth, Pedley Woodwork became Pedley Furniture International.

As well as having a strong client base in the UK, Pedley Furniture International prides itself on the ability to service hotels across the globe. The company currently has projects running in the USA and across Europe.

The company has completed many prestigious developments and has strong relationships with many of the industry’s top names, including both the Marriott and Hilton hotel group.

Today Pedley Furniture International Ltd. Covers a five acre site, with a 200,000 sqft factory, fronted by a prestigious showroom and air conditioned offices. Our superb modern factory boasts some of the world’s largest and most advanced woodworking machinery, backed by a wealth of computer technology to assist with costing, production and accounting.

Pedley Furniture International remains a family business and gives a professional but personal service, working closely with clients from the initial design through to the final delivery.

Alan and Martin Pedley are the second generation of their family to be involved in the manufacture of furniture and other pieces of fine woodwork, though it was their father, Neville, who set up the business we find today, employing around 100 people.  

It is an enterprise that has not only grown in size and reputation over the past six decades, but one which has matured into new markets for a variety of reasons: one of them more admirable than you would expect to encounter in the ultra-competitive world of manufacturing and commerce.
